Overview
Stairs are where many children often reside but the design is yet concentrated on adults and easy for children to get injured. Thus in places for children like Kindergartens should have stairs with protection appliances. And for the appliances, I designed it into shapes that children would like, such as animals, so that the children are safe to play around the stairs.
Where should we play?
"Play" is the basis of culture for mankind and the play elements can be found in the basis of every single shape of culture. What is more, desolate urban life, the playground is being more important for position of children's emotional intelligence developing. First of all, I started design combining 'culture' concept with an idea of 'play'. That is, suggesting the playground not only 'playground for kids' but also for 'communication' with whole area of apartment complex. Every rides need to have not just a function itself but various possibilities as well. 1. To make kids happy, the place should be proper for all ages not only for kids.
